What are the hours of operation for the ticket office?

During the week, the ticket office windows are open from 11 am until 5:30 pm. On Saturdays, we are open from 11 am to 2 pm. On Sundays, hours vary and depend on the schedule of events. On all performance days, the ticket office closes 15 minutes after the final curtain time. Phone operators are available from 8 am until 8 pm on weekdays, and on weekends from  8 am until 5 pm. To order tickets, call 608.258.4141 and select menu option 1.

 

How can I purchase tickets?

You can purchase tickets in person at our box office, over the phone at 608.258.4141 (select menu option 1), via mail or fax order. Or you can order online.

 

Are there additional fees when I purchase tickets?

Tickets are charged a variable per ticket fee. This fee varies by performance, and is listed individually in the shopping cart, before your credit card is charged.

 

Can you hold tickets for me until I come pay for them in person?

We do not hold tickets without payment.

 

Do you do any sort of wait list if tickets for the price range or show that I want are sold out?

We do not.

 

Can I get a discount if I bring a group?

In most cases, yes. Call 608.258.4159 to find out how to get great seats, discounts and personalized service for your groups.

 

How can I order subscription tickets?

IN PERSON or MAIL: Send your completed ticket order form to the Overture Center ticket office.

How can I use a gift certificate to purchase tickets?

Gift certificates can be used to purchase tickets in person, over the phone, or via a mail or fax order. They cannot be redeemed online.

 

Can I use a gift certificate for a season subscription?

Yes you can, so long as it is for an Overture Center season. Overture Center gift certificates cannot be used for our resident groups’ season subscriptions (such as Madison Symphony Orchestra, Madison Opera, etc.), but can be used for individual shows presented by them.

 

What types of payment do you take?

For phone or online orders, we accept these major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. For ticket window and mail orders, we accept cash, check and credit card purchases. We ask that you do not send cash in the mail for security reasons.

 

I have vouchers or a ticket certificate. Can I redeem them over the phone?

We need to have the vouchers or certificate in hand, so you need to either mail them to us or bring them in directly to our box office.

 

Can I exchange tickets if my plans change?

In many cases you can swap your ticket for a different date or a different performance. A $2 per-ticket fee and some restrictions apply. Call the ticket office at 608.258.4143 for details.

 

If I decide I no longer want to attend a show, can I get a refund?

We do not give refunds to events unless the performance is cancelled or rescheduled.

 

Do you have accessible seating in your venues?

Every venue in Overture Center is accessible for any number of requirements. Please contact 608.258.4144 or [email protected] for more information.

 

Where is the best place to drop someone off?

For any performances in Overture Hall, we recommend using the drop off area on Fairchild St., directly in front of Overture Hall lobby. For performances in other venues, we recommend dropping people off close to the main entrance on State St. or the back entrance on Henry St.

 

Does the ticket office handle performances in the OnStage Performing Arts Series for Students?

We do not. For OnStage performances, please contact the OnStage Coordinator at 608.258.4455 or email [email protected].

 

Can I rent a space at Overture Center for my performance, meeting, conference, party, or wedding?
