Jan 19 will be, officially, Laura Ingalls Wilder Day

On Tuesday, January 19, Little House on the Prairie: The Musical will make its Wisconsin debut. That’s significant, because the author of the beloved novel, and main character in the musical, was born in Pepin, Wisconsin.

That’s so significant, in fact, that Governor Jim Doyle is officially going to proclaim that day as “Laura Ingalls Wilder Day” in Wisconsin!

We’ll have a ceremony and press conference at 1 pm that day on the Overture Lobby Promenade Level. Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton, an ardent supporter of the arts, will present the proclamation on behalf of the governor. Melissa Gilbert, who will always be Laura to most of us, will be on hand as well.

Come on down to be part of history!

I would like some information on the seating for the Laura Ingalls shows. ALso do you have any afternoon shows to attend.
I have been to the Overture Center before but was seated in the balcony and would prefer not to sit there again. What is a good area to sit in that isnt the most expensive.
    Send me some information please.
I don’t have a phone number for you either.
    Thanks, Virginia Rusch
