About the Program
Each season, Overture Center selects several performing companies with a vested commitment and experience in working in educational and community settings to be Artists in Residence. These national and international touring and local artists provide students of all ages with direct hands-on experiences in the arts.
Each program is custom designed to create a mutually supportive and creative learning environment between learner and artist. Artists engage participants through various programmatic components that may include workshops and masterclasses, lectures and discussions, rehearsals and performances, or community events. These residencies provide an excellent opportunity to enhance and obtain arts learning and community engagement goals.
