The Match to Amaze Goal Has Been Met!
Thank you to the many donors who helped us meet our Match to Amaze.
Overture Center for the Arts raised more than $300,000 in individual donations between February 6 and April 30, triggering an additional $300,000 from MG&E Foundation, the Kelly Family Foundation and Dianne Christensen.
“We not only met their challenge, we went above and beyond,” said Overture Center CEO, Ted DeDee. “This community actually came through with over $400,000 in under three months. It’s really incredible.

What does your contribution help support?
- $5 will bring one visitor to International Festival
- $20 will buy tickets to shows for 10 people who couldn’t afford them
- $50 will buy art supplies for one sixth grader in the Arts Education Initiative
- $150 will bring 100 kids to Kids in the Rotunda
- $315 will pay one International Festival performer (all Madison-area artists!)
- $946 will pay for one Duck Soup Cinema screening, complete with live organist
- $1,000 will pay one MadCity Sessions performer
- $1,566 will pay for a three-month Overture Galleries exhibition by a local artist
As our way of saying "Thanks," Annual Fund contributors become members of Overture and receive benefits at the level of their annual contribution.
Your gift provides support for the following areas:
Community
Free performances, exhibitions, artist talk-backs, ticket subsidies, accessibility services and other programming that provides access to the arts for all segments of our community and facilitates community expression by providing opportunities for local artists.
Education
School-day and free weekend performances for students, educational resource guides, workshops and other programming for children, families and educators that integrates a diverse range of art forms into all levels of academic, cultural, aesthetic and personal development.
Diversity
Performances, festivals, exhibitions, artist residencies and other programming that explores the rich variety of cultures and art forms within our region and around the world.
