We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of all your non-public personal information. Overture Center for the Arts (OCA) respects your right to privacy and knows that you want to be in control of your personal information.
 
This policy, effective November 2006, covers how OCA treats personal information that it collects (1) online though its website at www.overturecenter.com, and (2) offline via phone, by mail, or at OCA's box office. Changes to the OCA Privacy Policy may take place over time, so please check back to our website periodically.

Personal Information
 
OCA does collect "personal information," which includes name, postal address, email address, and phone number, and/or transaction information, from individuals who request information about our products and services, participate in a promotion or online survey, contact OCA with a question or suggestion, and make a purchase or contribution.
 
When you provide your postal address to OCA, you may periodically receive copies of our Overture program guide and other event and program information. If you do not wish to receive personalized mailings from OCA, please contact us at the phone number or mailing address listed at the end of this document, and we will remove your name from our mailing list.
 
When you provide your email address to OCA, you may periodically receive OCA announcements, e-newsletters, contest opportunities, special offers, etc. If you do not wish to receive such emails from OCA, you may request to be removed from our e-communications mailing list by following the instructions at the bottom of each OCA email message.
 
When you provide your phone number to OCA, you may periodically be contacted by us with questions about your account, information about changes to upcoming performances, special ticket offers, etc.
 
When you provide financial information to OCA, your financial information (credit/debit card information) will only be used (and historically only has been used) for processing orders. Your order information will be stored on our secure servers, but this information is never shared with third parties. [NOTE: The Wisconsin Public Records Act was amended effective January 1, 2006 to forbid release by OCA and other organizations covered by that Act of any credit card, debit card or checking account numbers that come into its possession (Wisconsin Statute Section 19.36(13)).]

Third Parties
 
Certain performances at OCA are produced or presented by third parties. Examples of these third parties include the Madison Opera, Madison Symphony Orchestra, Madison Ballet, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Kanopy Dance, CTM Madison Family Theater, Li Chiao-Ping Dance Company, Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters, Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, among others. When you make a purchase via the OCA box office to a performance presented or produced by one of these third party organizations, OCA will provide them with the information regarding you and your purchase. This information may include, but shall not be limited to, your name, address, telephone number and email address, as well as details of your purchase, which may include, but shall not be limited to, the date you purchased your tickets, any offer you responded to, the locations of your seats, and the dollar amount of your transaction.
 
Your personal information may be used by us (or third parties engaged by us) to: (1) customize the advertising and the content that you see, (2) fulfill your requests for products and services, (3) contact you, (4) conduct research, (5) respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process, and (6) establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.

Cookies are small bits of data transferred to your computer by a website to facilitate your online experience. Cookies are only used on www.overturecenter.com to assist in customer log-in functions, to track the progress of e-commerce transactions and to record session information in order to analyze website effectiveness.
