Photography and fiber art come together in this exhibition in conjunction with Forward Theater Company’s production of A Thousand Words. The artwork on exhibit is inspired by the work of Walker Evans, the renowned black-and-white photographer who pioneered a documentary style. A main character in the play, he worked for the Farm Services Administration during the 1930s to capture many famous images of the dustbowl in Kansas. Participating artists will include members of the Center for Photography in Madison, Mad City Quilt Guild, and the Madison Contemporary Fiber Artists.
Reception: Friday January 13th 6-8pm on the Promenade Terrace
