A collaborative project between photographer Thomas Ferrella, Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired member Virginia DeBlaey, and the Madison-based Lake Effect Poets forms an exhibition that invites the physical touch of the viewer. Poems inspired by a unique and colorful series of portraits by Thomas Ferrella have been brailled directly onto the images. This combination of art forms, photography, poetry, and brailled text, provides an artistic experience that reaches beyond the visual.
Members of the Lake Effect Poets include: Robin Chapman, Susan Elbe, Rasma Haidri, Catherine Jagoe, Jesse Lee Kercheval, Sara Parrell, Judith Strasser, and Alison Townsend.
Opening Reception FRI, NOV 5, 6-8 PM with a poetry reading at 7 PM
