International singer Lee Lessack presents an outstanding cabaret of mixed French and American tunes with a French flavor called Chanteur, vibrantly conceived by director Brian Lane Green. Lessack's towering presence and gentle charisma with his audience are strong and his interpretation of the material intense, especially with the music of Jacques Brel and Charles Aznavour. This show has taken Lee from London to Lille to Paris, and now to Madison. Bon Appetit!
Fine dining, intimate performance…these are the hallmarks of the cabaret tradition, a tradition we keep alive in our own Overture way! You’re treated to hors d’oeurves in the lush Capitol Theater lobby. Then you’ll enter the historic theater, complete with candle-lit chandeliers sparkling above the stage. You’ll enjoy a gourmet dinner on the stage — an elegant meal lovingly prepared by Catering a Fresco, Overture’s resident culinary arts company.
