Gallery II,  Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home is an invitational print exchange organized by Julia Taylor.  Print exchanges are an important method for encouraging interaction among emerging, professional, and established print artists.  Each participating artist has submitted a work that explores the personal meaning and significance of “home.”  By displaying the completed portfolio at Overture Center, this exhibition invites viewers and artists and viewers to open a visual dialog about the nature of “home.”  Is it a physical object, a space, an emotional state?  Does the meaning and importance of home come from your past or your present environment?  How can homes be created and described?   Home Sweet Home brings together the work of 29 artists from diverse artists, professional, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, many of whom are current UW-Madison Art Department faculty, graduate students, and alumni.
