Running time: 45 Minutes

Laura Doherty returns to the Overture Center to deliver another set of highly interactive family shows!  Laura Doherty acoustically rocks your kid’s world with breezy folk-pop tunes from her Parent’s Choice award-winning CD, Shining Like a Star, which celebrates the many ways children express themselves and celebrate their uniqueness. Songs such as "I'm a Tree" and "Vegetable Party" share the wonders of nature, along with dance tunes such as "Hula Hoop", and "Rocket Ship". Other songs include hits from Laura's award-winning CD, Kids in the City, which pays tribute to her kind of town - Chicago!

Each Saturday from the end of September through April at 9:30 AM, 11 AM and 1 PM, Overture Center presents Kids in the Rotunda, a series of FREE artistic programs designed for children and families. This popular performing arts series on the Rotunda Stage offers a relaxed, kid-friendly environment in which to enjoy a diverse lineup of local and regional musicians, storytellers, jugglers, theater troupes, magicians and dancers. The 1 PM performances are sign language interpreted.

Kids in the Rotunda is generously sponsored by MG&E Foundation, Family Programming at Overture is sponsored by American Girl Fund for Children.
