Nosce te Ipsum

Nosce te Ipsum means “to know thy self.”  Utilizing self-portraiture as a method of self-reflection, Doug Rassier and Phillip Salamone present their visual autobiographies.  The work is a chronology of portraits that both embody and challenge the traditions of portraiture through observation, media and composition.
