TREE WORKSHOP

The UW Arboretum will present a workshop on trees in which they will identify the trees mentioned in the play and discuss the necessities in habitats such as food, water, shelter, and space. Arboretum education staff will help youth decide what they want in their habitat and then participants will then make a woodland habitat from pictures, twigs, acorns and other natural materials.
LIFE CYCLES OF A TREE
April Family Day at the Arboretum

"Life Cycle of a Tree": In collaboration with the Overture Center, April family day at the Arboretum will be a drop-in event where families will explore trees during their different stages of growth: from seed to seedling to maturity to death to decomposition and then all over again. Participants will pot a tree seedling to take home, and dissect a decaying log. Naturalist-led walk from 1:30-2:30. The book store will offer 15% discount for anyone that attends with ticket stubs.
