Wisconsin Labor: A Contemporary Portrait

In 2007, the Wisconsin Arts Board commissioned several photographers to create a "portrait" of Wisconsin workers as a Percent for Art project for the Department of Workforce Development. Selected from over 200 working prints created for this project, the images in Wisconsin Labor reflect the impressive diversity of the state's labor force and convey the artists' respect for each worker. After all, photography is labor, too.
